Gangcai Encounter – The Art of Hong Kong Porcelain Painting

Artspace K proudly presents “Gangcai Encounter ── The Art of Hong Kong Porcelain Painting ” from September 21, 2023 to 18 February 2024. For our “Gangcai Encounter” presentation, we have invited eight Hong Kong Gangcai artists: Betty Ho, Astor Sham, Cheng Man Ling Carrie, Lee Wai Sum, Moon, Noel Li, Oychir and Siumou Chow. They have different artistic backgrounds, but they are equally passionate to inherit and promote the “Guangcai” craft originally from Guangzhou, developing it into “Gangcai”, the art of Hong Kong porcelain painting culture. In this “Gangcai Encounter” presentation, we are delighted to present 90 pieces of Gangcai artwork that combine traditional and contemporary elements.
