From Karma to Dogma

EVENT DESCRIPTION

This thematic exhibition on the interpretations of iconography through narrative approach features artworks by two leading HK artists Wai Pong-yu and Chan Kwan-lok alongside photography by Josiah Leung, a prominent fine art photojournalist.

Inspired by a set of contemporary Indian thangka paintings, this exhibition explores how traditional religious icons and symbols are presented in contemporary settings and thereby transformed into powerful conceptual art forms.
