This features three dance pieces that explore the concept of belonging. They seek a sense of belonging through the interplay of movement, space, and the interaction between bodies.
ABOUT THE ARTIST / ORGANISER
Ho Fong Ting Fonteyn graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), majoring in Contemporary Dance. Second majoring in choreography. She was also the recipient of the Contemporary Dance Faculty Scholarship 2020/21. During her time at the academy, she has worked with numbers of emerging artists and performed in a wide range of dance performances. Choreographers in cooperating are Marso Riviere (France), Christina Mertzani (Greece), Raewyn Hill(Australia), Jaime Redfern (Australia), John Utans(Australia), Richard Causer (Australia), Dominic Wong (Hong Kong), Li Yong-jing (Hong Kong),Terry Tsang (Hong Kong) , Billy Chan (Hong Kong).In Hong Kong, she has worked with City Contemporary Dance Company, Unlock Dancing Plaza and E-side Dance Company. Fonteyn also a Latin dance teacher. As she has experience in various dance style she can be more flexible and she's developing her unique style. She is now focusing in Contemporary dance and enthusiastic to bring positive message to the society with her artistry.
Priscilla was born in Hong Kong and graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a Bachelor (Honors') Degree in Dance, majoring in Contemporary Dance. In 2018 – 2019, Priscilla was awarded Academic Studies (Dance) Faculty Scholarship and received school financial assistance for the b12 dance festival in Berlin. With a passion for creation, she has been a researcher for her independent study in her final year. Priscilla is now a freelance artist, working on multi-disciplinary creation, participating in various performances, and art education. Recently involved in Sammi Cheng Concert "#You & Mi 2024 (Rescheduled)" World Tour Hong Kong, Hong Kong Dance Alliance- New Force In Motion series 2023 "Into the Void" by Kingsan Lo, Passoverdance x Hong Kong International Shakespeare Performance Exchange "The Taming of the Shrew" as the creative dancer; "Unlock Body Lab: Open Research Week 2022" as both workshop leader and creative dancer, "Bodynamics: creative movement workshop series" as teaching artist; Passoverdance "Mou6 Jin4 Cing1Hang4", "Hear, We Dance" as a professional dancer; Hong Kong Arts Centre "Cultural Masseur" as an exchange in Self Institute. In 2022, she took part in OM (Operation Mobilisation) – Inspiro Arts Alliance "Incarnate 2022" for a short-term residency in Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
