EVENT DESCRIPTION
If you and your family were trees in the woods, how would you embrace one another? If you were trees, large and small, inside a museum, would you sway in the wind and stay close to your loved ones?
Experiment with body and physical movements. In this workshop, M+ Educators will invite families to explore the diverse portrayals of life in the museum. Inspired by the works of international artists, families will morph into marvelous landscapes and wildlife. From buzzing flies to majestic waterfalls, you will imitate animals and landscapes using props inspired by the M+ collections with other families. Enjoy artmaking in a group setting and learn to use physical movement as a language to form dialogues. Sense the creativity that fills our world through this experience.
This workshop is co-produced by M+ Educators Brandon Chan and Nigel Yau, and the M+ Learning and Interpretation team. Complementing Individuals, Networks, Expressions, it prompts participants to discover visual culture through varying perspectives.
