Crafts on Peel presents an exhibition titled Embracing Craft, Connecting Culture from July 2 to October 11, 2025.
The exhibition features a diverse array of works, showcasing the refined craftsmanship of artisans from various regions and generations within a refreshing, contemporary setting. It aims to highlight the profound significance of multiculturalism and ignite a surge of creativity by facilitating exchanges between artists from Hong Kong and around the world.
The central theme and medium here is the appreciation of exquisite craftsmanship, adhering to the principle of knowledge-sharing from one generation to another and striving for excellence and creativity. It brings together seven groups of local and international artisans to create 14 works that go beyond regional and generational boundaries. This exhibition celebrates the convergence of global cultures through craftsmanship, a phenomenon that transcends borders, fosters understanding and ignites a symphony of creativity. Here, Crafts on Peel performs such dynamics of Hong Kong, letting us step into a world where the language of craft speaks volumes. Whether it is the delicate glass sculptures of a Hong Kong neon artisan, the intricate twists and turns of the Lingnan penjings by a Chinese master gardener, or the bold copper forms of a Japanese metalsmith, each piece speaks to the universal human desire for expression and connection. Through the lens of craftsmanship, we break down barriers and bridge cultures.
