Digital November is back for the 5th consecutive year in November 2021 in Hong Kong!
Aimed at all those interested in French digital cultures; the general public, professionals in the cultural and creative industries, entrepreneurs, tech enthusiasts, students, teachers and learners of French, this programme is an invitation to discover French digital cultures and their applications through a series of actions and events organised by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong & Macao and local partners.
Co(AI)xistence by Justine Emard
As part of the Yesterday’s Fiction exhibition at the Microwave Festival 2021, you can already admire the video work by French artist Justine Emard. Entitled Co(AI)xistence, it attempts to make a human interact with a robot gifted with artificial intelligence.
To be seen at Hong Kong City Hall until 14 November.

Let’s Play! video games exhibition
The highlight of the 2021 edition of Digital November will take place during the third weekend of November. A selection of video games developed by independent French studios will be presented at Cyberport, all playable in free access. Come and discover the richness of French video game creation, on all types of media: console, karaoke, virtual reality headset or car simulator.
As part of the “Let’s Play!” exhibition, you will have the opportunity to test your gaming skills! Register to be part of a friendly E-sports competition and test your skills on Trackmania, one of the first racing game to be used in Esports, which still has a huge community of players today. The game will be playable directly on car simulators for the most realistic possible experience! The competition will be held under a Time attack format. 2 simulators will be exclusively reserved for the competition during the whole weekend. End of the competition Sunday at 6pm.

Silent Hill – Film screening at Broadway Cinematheque
Released in 2006, Christophe Gans’ Silent Hill is a film based on the script and world of the classic horror video game of the same name. The film follows Rose, who takes her adopted daughter, Sharon, to the town of Silent Hill, for which Sharon cries while sleepwalking. Arriving at Silent Hill, Rose is involved in a car accident and awakens to find Sharon missing. While searching for her daughter, she fights a local cult and begins to uncover Sharon’s connection to the town’s dark past. Often described as one of the best adaptations of a video game into a film, you will be able to discover it for free, in its original 35mm print at the Broadway Cinematheque.

Educational workshop – Alliance Française in Jordan
Students will discover a French virtual reality flight video game developed by Ubisoft: Eagle Flight. The student will be guided by instructions in French and will have to follow a tourist route. Players will participate in bird races in subjective view over the city of Paris, covered by vegetation.
