The Hong Kong Arts Centre (HKAC) is excited to announce a major art event, Collect Hong Kong, scheduled for March 2025. This initiative aims to showcase fresh talent in the local art scene and enhance Hong Kong’s cultural presence. Local artists and emerging stars are invited to submit their works for this premier opportunity to showcase their creativity. Through this expansive expo, HKAC hopes to foster connections among artists, attract both locals and tourists, and enrich the city’s cultural landscape.
In recent years, the SAR government has prioritised the growth of an event-driven economy to elevate the city’s cultural influence globally. Collect Hong Kong aligns with this effort, blending culture with tourism to solidify Hong Kong’s status as an international arts hub. This event will serve as HKAC’s flagship project in the first quarter of 2025, providing a dedicated platform to support homegrown talent during the city’s Art March.
The exhibition invites a panel of independent curators and a professional jury to oversee the selection process, ensuring a diverse range of innovative artworks. Following the successful launch of The Collectible Art Fair in 2023, Collect Hong Kong will become a biennial event that facilitates connections and collaborations among artists, galleries, and collectors.
