Cameron Carpenter

28 February 2026 - 3 March 2026

EVENT DESCRIPTION

A recipient of the 2012 Leonard Bernstein Award, Cameron Carpenter has been celebrated for his brilliant virtuosity, genre-defying interpretations and charismatic stage presence. He has captivated audiences worldwide since releasing his first album in 2006. Carpenter will perform the world premiere of his original score for the Chinese silent movie Sports Queen (1934) and Joseph Jongen’s Symphonie Concertante, one of the 20th century’s greatest works for organ and orchestra, in a concert with the HK Phil conducted by Lin Daye. The concert will also feature pianist Chiyan Wong. This is a rare opportunity to experience the full spectrum of Carpenter’s artistry—from cinematic storytelling to symphonic grandeur—played on the Cultural Centre’s magnificent four-storey-tall Rieger organ, with four manuals, one pedal board, 93 stops and 8,000 pipes.

Advance bookings will start at 10am on 16 October 2025.
