Beyond the Singularity is the final exhibition of ARTS • TECH Exhibition 2.0 presented by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC). Curated by Isaac Leung, this pioneering exhibition explores the profound impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on human existence and artistic expression, constructing a journey through dynamic landscapes and dialogue to probe its ever-evolving potentiality.

The first of its kind, and Hong Kong’s premier AI-themed exhibition, Beyond the Singularityoffers a mesmerising amalgamation of artistic objects spanning creative mediums, all specially crafted in collaboration with AI tools. This process-oriented experiential project aspires to establish a benchmark in AI technology usage while simultaneously questioning the role and relevance of humanity in the context of the advancing integration of intelligent machine within the realm of art.

Running from 16 March to 7 April 2024 at SHOWCASE, the premier arts venue of the HKADC, Beyond the Singularity gathers local artists from a variety of disciplines, including ink art, western painting, photography, music, lyric writing, performance, and art criticism, to spark an enlightening conversation intertwined with ethics, philosophy and artistry. Participating artists include Kurt Chan Yuk-keung, Chow Yiu-fai, Chui Pui-chee, Mak2, So Hing-keung, Phoebe Wong, Stephen Wong Chun-hei, David Chan & Kingston Lo, Frog King & Frog Queen, and Virtue Village.
