Opening the 2024 Flamenco Festival in New York to rave reviews, Invocación has been celebrated as a masterful showcase of choreography, featuring iconic works by Mario Maya, one of Spain’s most influential flamenco choreographers and dancers. From the refined elegance of 18th-century escuela bolera—a rare blend of Baroque ballet, Spanish influences and the clatter of castanets—to the fiery passion of contemporary flamenco, this production will enthral audiences with the heart and soul of Spain.
