EVENT DESCRIPTION

Inverse is the title and theme of the 22nd edition of the Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) Graduate Exhibition co-presented by the Hong Kong Art School (HKAS) and RMIT University. To be held at the Pao Galleries of the Hong Kong Arts Centre from 9 to 25 July, this exhibition is the culmination of the major studies of 38 graduating students.

These emerging artists present the fruits of their learning journey in a diversity of art forms, including painting, ceramics, photography, installation and video, which all carry their pursuit of and belief in the art-making process.

‘inverse’ (逆) means to challenge as well to embrace. Much like in the face of the unforgiving natural order of things, we all strive to overcome the adversities in life with art bearing witness, which our graduating students in turn present to the public in different forms.

This year’s Graduate Exhibition of the Hong Kong Art School / RMIT University is deeply honored by the support from our major sponsors (listed in no particular order): Muses Foundation for Culture & Education, Hearty Ceramic Supply Company, Sinag Art Space, Hidden Space, WMA Space (WYNG Foundation, Touch Gallery and 1A Space.
