Alice Sara Ott: John Field & Beethoven
1 April - 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
$280 – $680EVENT DESCRIPTION
Step into a world of twilight poetry with Alice Sara Ott, unearthing the delicate beauty of John Field’s Nocturnes alongside the luminous shadows of Beethoven Sonatas.
In this stunningly-curated programme, Alice Sara Ott interweaves Beethoven’s Sonatas with the serene Nocturnes of John Field. While the nocturne is often associated with Chopin, the genre was pioneered by the lesser-known Irish composer John Field (1782–1837), widely regarded as “the father of the nocturne”.
John Field: Nocturnes is Alice Sara Ott’s latest Deutsche Grammophon album. It won the 2025 Opus Klassik Award and was named the Album of the Year 2025 by Apple Music. Following acclaimed tours across Europe and Japan, this celebrated programme finally arrives in Hong Kong—an unmissable evening with one of today’s most captivating pianists.
