EVENT DESCRIPTION
The 11th edition of Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong is returning to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 16 to 19 May 2024, showcasing thousands of contemporary artworks from 97 international and local exhibitors. With this year’s theme of “I am an art collector”, Affordable Art Fair provides a window for first-time art collectors to purchase affordable art under HK$100,000 from international galleries and emerging artists. This year, international exhibitors from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Australia, the US, Peru, the UK, Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, and Cyrus, will make up more than half of the list.
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the international Affordable Art Fair, the fair is renowned for supporting the art ecosystem and fostering emerging and living artists through a variety of programmes and collaborations with the communities. Special Project features large-scale installations by six creative units and galleries experiments with different art forms including lenticular artwork, three-dimensional renditions, graffiti street art, on-site creation with Chinese ink, illustrations in lightboxes, and even art in cocktails, making art approachable to all. Young Talent Hong Kong plays with the theme of “Landscape Mindscape”, presenting the multifaceted expressions of seven Hong Kong artists in three distinct spaces.
