In the mid-2000s, before her transition, Beatrice Wong found an oracle in Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble of Shadows (a darkwave music project by trans musician Anna-Varney Cantodea). The album The Inexperienced Spiral Traveller became a mirror for a body that felt like “irreparable deviance” and a serenade for a trapped spirit. Join us as Beatrice revisits this haunting gothic masterpiece—not as a sermon of self-destruction, but as a vigil for the inner darkness. A session on finding one’s story in the music of isolation, and learning to walk toward the light without abandoning the shadows.
