Hong Kong’s leading emerging artist platform, ArtNext Fair, proudly announces that its 10th edition, ArtNext Fair 2025: 10th Anniversary, will be held from October 16 to 20, 2025, at PMQ. This year’s art fair will not only bring together over 120 international artists but will also feature a top-notch curatorial line-up, meticulously planned 10th anniversary special exhibitions, and eight unprecedented awards, solidifying its position as an important platform for discovering and supporting artistic talent.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary exhibition, ArtNext has invited a powerful curatorial team composed of industry veterans. With their strong academic backgrounds and international perspectives, they ensure the high quality and forward-thinking nature of the exhibition. The curatorial team includes Professor Tang Hoi Chiu, a member of the ArtNext Advisory Committee, former Director of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, and a seasoned museum scholar and art critic; Mr. Shen Ping, renowned artist and former gallery owner; Mr. Chung Tai Fu, notable artist, esteemed figure in the art community, and art educator/curator; Ms. Amy Chow, curator and educator specializing in art and design projects; and Mr. Simon Go, curator and photography artist. Their collaborative curation, will make ArtNext Fair 2025 a momentous art event.
ArtNext Fair 2025 will showcase a series of highly collectible prints and ink works from the younger years of Chinese masters, curated by Shen Ping. The print masters include: Huang Xinbo, Wei Qian, Zhang Minjie, Liu Chunjie, and Shen Minyi; while the ink masters include: Wang Mingming, Shi Dawei, Liu Guohui, Wu Sheng, Liang Peilong, and Xu Hengyu. This special section provides a rare opportunity for audience to gain insight into the creative origins and stylistic prototypes of these Chinese art masters. It is not only a retrospective of their artistic achievements but also an important testament to the inheritance and innovation of Chinese painting and printmaking art.
The Masters’ Series focuses on three highly respected artists, paying tribute to those who have had a profound influence on the art world. Wong Hau Kwei, a contemporary ink master from Hong Kong, known for his innovative approaches to ink painting that depict the city’s urban and natural landscapes, breaking away from traditional methods. Jove Wang, a Chinese contemporary ink and oil painting master based in the United States, whose works blend the essence of Eastern and Western art. Cho Yeou Jui, an acclaimed female artist from Taiwan, known for her photorealistic style, who perfectly combines realistic imagery with poetic abstraction.
On the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of ArtNext Fair, ten outstanding young artists who joined previous editions, are specially invited to showcase their works at ArtNext Fair 2025, revealing their latest artistic developments and achievements. Through the section ArtNext Decade, we can gain insights into the cultural characteristics and artistic orientations of these Hong Kong young artists. The ten most noteworthy emerging artists include Edward Cheung, Fung Chim, Halley Cheng, Kasper Forest, Angel Hui, Sue Lai, Abby Lee, Stephen Wong, Aries Wu, and Ross Yau.
ArtNext Fair 2025 will feature thematic displays encompassing various media and styles, including Hung Keung’s latest new media work Zen Buddhism at My Fingertips: Debut of ‘The Awakening of the Fingertip, a section showing the works of new generation of mineral pigment artists, and the latest creative trend of ceramic art.
ArtNext Fair is not only a celebration of visual arts but also a platform for cultural and spiritual convergence. This year’s event introduces a cross-disciplinary project—Zen·Art Series, curated by spiritual teacher Hera. Through deep experiences such as the aesthetics of flower arrangement, mindfulness, and singing bowl meditation, audiences can achieve a balance for their body, mind, and spirit while appreciating art. Additionally, the ArtNext SHARE project will host a series of art lectures, workshops, and live demonstrations to promote communication and dialogue among artists, collectors, and the public.
