In commemoration of the 150th anniversary of French composer George Bizet’s legendary Carmen – one of the world’s best-loved operas – The Peninsula Hong Kong is delighted to present Les Amours de Carmen Wong, a brand-new dramatic adaptation of the production set in a Hong Kong bar during the 1960s and ‘70s. Audiences will find the iteration enlivened by a distinctly Hong-Kong cinematic style, while preserving the timeless story of impassioned femme fatale Carmen and her tragic love affair. This remarkable operatic masterpiece will feature a cast of exceptional vocalists, including tenor Chen Yong, mezzo-soprano Ashley Chui, soprano Etta Fung and baritone Isaac Droscha.
On Saturday, 20 September 2025, spectacular productions of Les Amours de Carmen Wong will be staged at The Peninsula Hong Kong’s iconic Felix restaurant. Occupying a stylish, airy top-floor space with interiors by visionary French designer Philippe Starck and breath-taking views over Victoria Harbour, Felix has been one of Hong Kong’s most sought-after dining destinations since debuting in 1994. Guests will enjoy an exquisite four-course dinner, meticulously crafted by Chef de Cuisine Aurélie Altemaire to complement the evening’s entertainment.
