SUMMARY:Bon A Petite
DESCRIPTION:As “Art March” descends upon Hong Kong\, the city is enveloped in a vibrant artistic atmosphere. While public discourse frequently centers on the monumental\, high-valuation masterpieces showcased at major international art fairs\, such works can often seem inaccessible to burgeoning collectors and enthusiasts. 13a New Street Art Gallery offers a refreshing alternative with the group exhibition Bon A Petite\, running from March 19 to April 5\, 2026 (Wednesday to Sunday). Featuring small-scale original works and limited-edition art toys by eight contemporary artists\, the exhibition invites art into daily life with warmth and accessibility. \nThe exhibition title\, Bon A Petite\, is a playful pun on the French phrase “Bon Appétit” (wishing one a good appetite). It invites viewers to savor art with the same ease and delight as tasting a fine delicacy. At the heart of the concept is “Petite”—small in scale but grand in soul. Curated by Ruby Fung\, the show brings together eight artists from Japan\, New York\, Taiwan\, the Philippines\, and Hong Kong\, focusing on “bite-size\,” affordably priced originals and limited editions. \nExhibition: Bon A Petite Group Exhibition\nDate: March 19 – April 5\, 2026 (Open Wed to Sun)\nTime: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM\nVenue: 13a New Street Art Gallery\, G/F\, 13a New Street\, Sheung Wan\, Hong Kong\nParticipating Artists: Candy Mary\, Distort Monsters\, Donna Yuen\, LeonLollipop\, Mami Mog\, Mr. Likey\, Yasuhito Kawasaki\, YSK_Quality (YSK-Q)

SUMMARY:Tophoon: Inner Emotions Revealed
DESCRIPTION:13A New Street Art Gallery will proudly present the “INNER EMOTIONS REVEALED”\, solo exhibition by TOPHOON from April 26 to May 16\, showcasing over 20 works. In this technological era\, the exhibition captures the essence of emotions through the collision and sedimentation of diverse aesthetics. TOPHOON’s creations are characterized by strong color contrasts and dynamic brushstrokes\, blending Eastern and Western artistic philosophies: early influences from Pollock and Wassily Kandinsky led to a practice of free abstract expression. \nIn recent years\, Eastern meditation concepts have been integrated\, introducing restraint and negative space into vibrant brushwork\, forming a visual language of dynamic balance—where the clash of intense color blocks and ethereal whites represents both an outward eruption of emotions and an inward contemplation. \nThe exhibition showcases a groundbreaking application of 3D printing technology\, transforming lines and color blocks from flat paintings into tangible three-dimensional installations. Through digital modeling and 3D forming\, static images “grow” in space\, with light and shadow flowing as perspectives change\, materializing the multidimensional layers of emotion. Meanwhile\, the digital pop series reconstructs fragments of information using pixelated symbols\, echoing the popular cultural concerns of pop art in vibrant colors\, while employing digital technology to endow traditional themes with a contemporary texture.

SUMMARY:CHOWCIAOCHOW: Your Sunshine Is Crying
DESCRIPTION:The 13A New Street Art Gallery is proud to present “Your Sunshine is Crying”\, the first solo exhibition of works by the artist CHOWCIAOCHOW\, who radiates artistic brilliance and shines on the international stage. The exhibition will feature over 30 of his artworks. \nCHOWCIAOCHOW’s work has garnered the attention of top European and American singer Sam Smith\, the “Prince of Love Songs.” His artwork has been prominently featured as Smith’s profile picture on social media\, exposing CHOWCIAOCHOW’s artistic achievements to millions of international fans overnight. Riding this wave of personal international recognition\, CHOWCIAOCHOW was invited by the widely acclaimed minimalist Swedish fashion brand COS to showcase his personal creations at their flagship store in Central. Collaborations with local artists are rare for COS\, making this an unprecedented partnership. His stunning works have attracted many visitors eager to take photos and admire the art\, resulting in a significant surge in CHOWCIAOCHOW’s personal visibility. This demonstrates that he is undoubtedly a Hong Kong artist who radiates artistic brilliance and shines on the international stage. Over the past few years\, his work has gained immense popularity worldwide\, establishing him as a sought-after and exceptional figure in the Hong Kong art scene.  \nIn this exhibition\, CHOWCIAOCHOW aims to remind the audience of a crucial message: that we should always pay attention to the emotions that those around us may be hiding. As an emotionally rich artist\, each of his paintings conveys unique personal feelings\, expressing his thoughts and the surrounding atmosphere\, thereby resonating deeply with the audience. The focal point of the exhibition is the vibrant sun that we see everyday\, which\, despite its cheerful appearance\, is depicted as crying. This stark contrast arises from the global pandemic in recent years. Despite having an optimistic and cheerful personality\, CHOWCIAOCHOW has remained largely unaffected emotionally\, even in the face of a century-defining public health crisis that has cast a shadow over the city. However\, not everyone possesses such a sunny disposition. Through his series “Your Sunshine is Crying\,” CHOWCIAOCHOW hopes to remind us to care for the emotions of those around us. Even a person who seems to radiate joy like the sun may be quietly suffering inside.

SUMMARY:Candy Mary: CING CING
DESCRIPTION:13A New Street Art Gallery will held the exhibition CING CING \, solo exhibition by Candy Mary on 25th Apr- 12th May\, showing over 27 pieces\, from April 25th to May 12th. Over the past few years\, Candy Mary‘s works have gained immense popularity\, establishing her as a rising star in the art world. Her art has become widely recognized and admired throughout Hong Kong and Taiwan\, attracting many visitors who come to admire her creations. Candy Mary’s art style embodies a playful and delicate sense of innocence. This early summer\, the artist returned to 13A New Street Art Gallery with a new series of artworks. \nCandy Mary\, a talented artist from Taiwan\, has a strong affinity for sweets\, just like her name suggests. Colorful wrapping paper and various flavors of sugar powder greatly captivate her. These preferences are reflected in her artwork\, which incorporates vibrant and high-saturation colors to capture the audience’s attention. In her latest exhibition\, Candy Mary takes her creativity to the next level by using tea as the main theme in “CING CING 青 青” conveying the dynamics of human relationships and metaphorically representing life experiences. Candy Marypersonifies tea through her self-created character\, Mary. Tea\, like Mary\, exudes a clear and transparent hue while simultaneously carrying a hint of ambiguity. The relationships between individuals are akin to the stories behind each type of tea. The warmth\, heat\, intensity\, subtlety\, bitterness\, astringency\, sweetness\, and flavor of tea are comparable to the multifaceted experiences in life. Through numerous trials and tribulations\, only those who have experienced can truly understand how bitterness can transform into sweetness. In this noisy world\, we need to find our own moments of tranquility. Similar to sipping tea and gazing at the sky in a grandfather’s garden\, sitting down to enjoy a cup of tea allows us to experience the blending of tea fragrance and the soul. That delicate and subtle cup of tea may not provide instant gratification\, but it can offer us profound emotions and tranquility at a deeper level. \nCandy Mary’s artistic style appears playful with a delicate touch of girlishness. However\, upon closer observation\, one will notice that the depiction of female skin exhibits remarkable realism. The tiny blood vessels beneath the skin are vividly rendered by Candy Mary’s brushstrokes\, portraying a crystal-clear and fair complexion with a rosy blush. This not only evokes envy among girls but also brings a sense of visual delight to viewers. It is truly commendable for a young artist to possess such exquisite craftsmanship. \nIn addition to her impressive painting skills\, Candy Mary imbues each of her artworks with symbolic and profound meanings. Just like her latest series\, which metaphorically represents the five flavours of life through the theme of tea\, her works invite audiences to delve into the depths and savour the sweetness that follows bitterness.

SUMMARY:Distort Monsters: Get Up and (SLAM) Dance
DESCRIPTION:13A New Street Art Gallery proudly present the solo exhibition“ Get Up and (SLAM) Dance ”By Distort Monsters\, showcasing over 21 pieces of artwork. Last year\, the works of Distort Monsters received great acclaim from art collectors\, so this winter\, the adorable and whimsical little monsters are once again visiting the 13a New Street Art Gallery. Music and dance have always been inspirational\, and combining them with visual art creates another kind of chemistry. The little monsters and 13A New Street Art Gallery invite everyone to embark on this rhythmic art journey\, bringing the joyful melodies of art to the community. With Christmas approaching\, come and play with the cute and lively little monsters. Each of the little monsters carries a vibrant expression and is accompanied by a uniquely styled appearance\, creating an anticipation of the true nature of these whimsical creatures. The artist\, Distort Monsters\, once said that each little monster he creates represents a thought or a personal feeling from his mind\, making each creation a small fragment of his life. Through his artwork\, he captures those fleeting moments of inspiration\, preserving the vitality of life within his pieces\, so that the fireworks of that moment will not fade away in an instant. \nDistort Monsters\, an emotionally expressive artist from the Philippines\, began his street art career in 2009. He embarked on his artistic journey by creating skateboard stickers\, and during a significant period in between\, he faced physical challenges\, with art creation being his constant companion. Through the creation of these little monster characters\, he liberates himself\, rediscovering that inner tranquility and finding healing through art. Recently\, he has created a series of artworks inspired by his own experiences\, aiming to convey the message that reclaiming one’s own life rhythm is a powerful act of release and healing. Even as you are being constantly squeezed by silence and melancholy\, leaving you exhausted and unable to move forward\, hold on to something reliable\, and in stillness\, you will hear the rhythm of life. As the tension of the rhythm breaks\, you will be guided towards self-liberation. The shackles are unlocked\, burdens disappear\, and guided by intuition\, your hands and feet find their own rhythm\, naturally dancing and rediscovering the vitality of life.

SUMMARY:VALASARA : Cosmic Construct
DESCRIPTION:13A New Street Art Gallery proudly presents the solo exhibition“ Cosmic Construct ” Solo Exhibition By VALASARA from 29th September – 15th October \, showcasing over 15 pieces of artwork. Culture and art have always been closely intertwined\, especially traditional culture acting as fuel for art. 13A New Street Art Gallery brings us a cultural extravaganza from Bali\, Indonesia\, allowing us to explore the local traditional culture through art. It serves as a reminder of the importance of holding onto our cultural roots and collective identity amidst rapid societal development. The works of Valasara\, an artist from Bali\, Indonesia\, are divided into two series: “ALIENATED COSMIC SERIES” and “HOLY JOURNEY SERIES” Approaching from the perspective of a native Balinese\, Valasara delves into multiple layers to understand the local culture. \nValasara’s Alienated Cosmic series delves into Balinese society and how it’s affected when its essential element is disconnected. What happens to our identity when we’re separated from our traditions and the Balinese crowd? Valasara zooms in on the unique individuals of Bali\, borrowing inspiration from Batuan paintings that showcase regular folks going about their everyday lives. But in Valasara’s interpretation\, these figures transform into something peculiar and intriguing. Stripped of their Balinese identity\, they become even more expressive\, showing their humanity beyond the ‘exotic’ image associated with Bali. This series challenges how we see things and forces us to think about the consequences of breaking away from tradition. Can we still find our voice when we’re distanced from our cultural roots? Valasara’s exploration of identity investigates what it truly means to be human. By navigating the intricate relationship between tradition and individuality\, the Alienated Cosmic series uncovers different aspects of our existence. This series raises a conversation that goes beyond borders and cultures\, reminding us of the deep connections that tie us together as humans. It reminds us of how important our cultural heritage is in shaping our lives and in turn\, how our collective identity shaped our society.

SUMMARY:YSK_Quality: Shred to Shinto
DESCRIPTION:13A New Street Art Gallery proudly presents the solo exhibition ” Shred to Shinto ” by YSK_Quality from 8th June to June 25th\, featuring over 35 artworks. \n  \nYSK_Quality specializes in creating art using the traditional Japanese craft of “Yosegi”\, which is a type of woodworking that originated in the Hakone region of Japan. “Yosegi” involves piecing together different colored woods to create intricate patterns\, which are then crafted into a variety of art pieces. YSK_Quality comes from a traditional Japanese artisan family and is the fourth-generation heir to the family’s mechanical woodworking techniques. In Japan\, traditional techniques like “Yosegi” are usually passed down through generations\, ensuring the purest form of the craft. Japanese artisans and their aesthetics have been praised worldwide\, and there is a culture of “Japanese craftsmanship” where they dedicate their entire lives to perfecting one craft. They pour their heart and soul into their work\, pursuing excellence in every detail and striving for perfection beyond perfection. Their creations are characterized by a simple and understated style\, yet exude a harmonious and relaxed atmosphere. This rich and understated high-end aesthetic is easy to become enchanted with. \nYSK_Quality himself is passionate about skateboarding culture and is also very environmentally conscious. He aspires to use every creative opportunity to breathe new life into discarded skateboards through art. With his family’s traditional Japanese craft techniques\, now in its fourth generation\, YSK_Quality’s artistic skills are unquestionable. He embodies the Japanese artisan spirit of innovation\, transforming old and worn-out skateboards and decks into new and exciting possibilities. To him\, skateboards are beautiful treasures waiting to be unearthed.

SUMMARY:Faporpor: Dancing with Flower
DESCRIPTION:13a The New Street Art Gallery will present the “Dancing with Flowers” solo exhibition of Fapopo from January 20 to February 12\, with more than 30 works on display. The exhibition is full of a strong New Year atmosphere\, and the main axis of the exhibition is the Maneki Cat\, people and the most recognizable flower works. The artistic attainments of Fapopo are like those of the Hong Kong version of Yayoi Kusama and the female version of Zeng Zaochai. She is like Zeng Zaochai on the wall and under the ground\, graffiti with a huge creative brush of personal style. She is also known as the Hong Kong version of Yayoi Kusama. Fapopo created a unique style of painting and painted the same things in the same work with her talent of self-taught. Such an artistic collision has brought fresh impressions. \nThe origin of the name “Fapopo” comes from Fapopo’s predestination with flowers when she was young. She likes flowers very much and sells flowers at the Mongkok Flower Market to support her family. Fapopo’s creative medium is not limited to plane or canvas. She likes to paint her works on different daily necessities\, and most of them are objects that have been abandoned in the garbage station\, such as the flat-bottomed wok for cooking\, the suitcase for travel\, the classic yellow plastic duck\, etc…. All of them are Fapopo’s canvas. Fapopo’s colorful and vivid color matching and highly unique painting style are combined with those ordinary life products\, so that we can see a familiar and novel scenery. \nFapopo started her career as a painter at the age of 80. She learns painting by herself with great talent\, and her high level of familiarity with flowers makes her works vivid. The subject matter of her creation is not only flowers\, but also other birds and animals will appear in her works\, and all of them are lifelike. Fapopo\, she likes flowers very much. She can see flowers in almost every moment of her life. She said\, “She will spend the rest of her time thanking flowers”. Art is just a gift to thank flowers. When I was a child\, Fapopo already liked painting\, but she had to wait for the opportunity because of the family environment. \nThis exhibition is on the occasion of the Lunar New Year. In order to match the atmosphere of the Lunar New Year\, Fapopo specially uses the Maneki Cat\, flowers and people. Fortune cats and flowers have always been traditional items in the New Year\, implying different blessings. Let’s all bathe in the blessings in the new year. The Chinese New Year is also a time for families to get together. There is a kind of happiness called reunion. Every big festival\, people always sincerely hope to enjoy a good time with their dearest family and friends. Whether adults\, children\, or the elderly are a blessing in the family\, and every moment you have in the family is equally important. To integrate art into life\, Fapopo is definitely such an artist of “sticking to the ground”. From her hand\, she can let the abandoned things reappear\, let art close to life\, and let art bloom in life.

SUMMARY:SURREALHK: The Collective Surreal
DESCRIPTION:SurrealHK\, a surrealism photographer from Hong Kong\, held a solo exhibition in 13a New Street Art Gallery for the second time. The theme of this exhibition is “The Collective Surreal Memory by SURREALHK Solo Exhibition”\, which will be staged from 2nd December to 18th December\, bringing 33 artworks. \nApart from the most popular surrealism photography works\,SurrealHK also brought new surprises to fans\, by adding Hong Kong’s iconic neon elements to the works. Let the brand-new concept be integrated into the graphic art\, and make the surrealism sublimate to another level. In addition\, SurrealHK collaborated with students from the BA (Hons) in Interactive Media of Hong Kong Polytechnic University to create five three-dimensional Fotomo creations with different styles. \nSurrealHK takes the collective memory of Hong Kong people as the theme this time\, and the pet appear vividly in different corners of Hong Kong\, which makes the work slightly permeated with a lovely atmosphere. The author hopes to bring a little joy and positive energy to everyone through the exhibition in this post epidemic era. At the same time\, we also want to use the camera to retain some familiar things at the moment of pressing the shutter\, such as Jumbo Floating Restaurant\, which was once one of the landmarks of Hong Kong\, that we didn’t have time to say goodbye to it. SurrealHK once again brought it to everyone’s eyes and left behind good memories. \nTrams\, minibus\, subway stations\, temple streets\, and the huge buildings in Quarry Bay\, commonly known as the “Monster Building”\, have been rotating with the great wheel of the times in Hong Kong from the things we are most familiar with everyday to the back. Like Hong Kong people of different ages\, they have witnessed the ups and downs of Hong Kong. This time they will also appear in SurrealHK’s works\, so that everyone can find a familiar and warm resonance in the appreciation of the works. Hong Kong’s environment and all aspects are changing. The reality may make you feel frustrated many times. There are also many precious things that have disappeared or are slowly entering the darkness silently. \nThe absurd things keep happening\, SurrealHK hopes that you can face all things with an optimistic attitude\, live in the moment\, and do more things that can make you happy. The time of life is very short\, no matter if you are in a good mood or a bad mood\, you must continue to live\, so why not choose to face everything with a cheerful attitude? Hong Kong is also known as the Pearl of the Orient. In the last century\, colorful neon billboards were everywhere in the downtown market. With the progress of science and technology\, this product of the era full of sense of the times was gradually eliminated. However\, neon lights still play a very important role in the minds of the public. SurrealHK has brought them into its own works\, making a variety of different types of collective memories bloom at the same time.

SUMMARY:Haruku Yamakawa: SUPER SUPER MARKET 2022
DESCRIPTION:Supermarket – This place is probably the most frequently visited place in our daily life\, and we can also find large and small articles needed for life in this place. When you step into the supermarket\, will you find the goods you need as quickly as possible and then walk to the cashier to pay the bill\, or will you walk slowly and enjoy the dazzling goods on the shelves of the supermarket to bring you a feeling of both familiarity and freshness? Do you feel that it may be our spiritual oasis somtimes? Or you may ask what else is fresh in the supermarket? Not to mention the seemingly great psychological adjective oasis of mind. \nIt is true that some people really enjoy shopping in supermarkets. The time will return to the world at the beginning of 2020. There is also a fear of epidemic disease embedded in all parts of the world. Every corner of the earth announces the closure order in turn every day\, which leads to the luxury of even the most basic opportunity to go out to the supermarket to buy food. At this moment\, are the basic needs of life really the most basic at this time? The dull and uneasy mood was trapped by four thick cement walls and had no place to vent. In disguise\, going out to the supermarket once a week became the only fun. Gradually\, I noticed different people and things when I was in the supermarket\, which enriched my depressed mood at that time. Supermarket and oasis of the soul\, two words far away from the sky\, probably connected at this time. \nHARUKA YAMAKAWA\, an artist with a childlike painting style\, comes from Japan. She likes to get inspiration from life experience. Her works attract the public’s attention with simple and powerful lines and bold colors. The picture is full of jumping thinking and personalized creative elements of the author\, which makes people feel refreshed. The seemingly childish painting style coupled with high color contrast and her style that is both familiar and a bit whimsical has become a highly self colored feature. In addition to painting\, ceramics are also a creative medium that Yamakawa likes to use very much. Carrying out the author’s childlike style\, the lovely ceramic figurines let us start the innocence that has been sealed in our hearts for a long time. \nHARUKA YAMAKAWA’s works are bright and colorful\, which can catch the audience’s eyes at the first sight. In addition\, taking the supermarket\, a familiar place\, as the initial ideas of work can easily resonate with the public. The work records people and things in the supermarket with a lively and interesting rhythm. For example\, the author uses ceramics as a medium to reproduce the household milk commonly seen in supermarkets. At the snack department of the colorful supermarket\, we have a lot of delicious snacks in our cart\, but we still can’t stop the craving for snacks and want to try more sweet cream. And the warm and sweet scene of an injured girl who doesn’t know how to go to the supermarket with her feet\, however her best friend stroll the trolley with her.

SUMMARY:LINECENSOR: TABOO AGENT
DESCRIPTION:Any nation in the world has its own taboos\, some people think that taboos are established rules that cannot be broken in vain. Others think that taboos are ancient nonsense\, but they are more or less afraid. Under the baptism of the big era\, popular culture has gradually formed opposition to taboos. Under the crisscross of new and old\, bondage and unrestrained\, such a landscape is the most natural in the city. \nIn our life\, we will constantly encounter large and small opposites\, just as others often say that there are always two sides of things that can not be predicted or controlled. Because of these opposites\, we often make the inner small theater of the soul shadow many wonderful dramas every day\, just like a familiar picture with a sense of joy and a little darkness. Angels and devils linger in the ear to compete for the person’s thoughts. It is such a different idea that always seesaws in the brain. \nThe delicate artist LINECENSOR (real name: Kiatanan Iamchan) comes from Thailand. His personal art belief is to convey the small interests of his thoughts through vision. Artistic belief\, visual communication of ideas\, the fun of creating a look symbolic and linking the taboo with the contradictory interpretation of pop culture trends. It is a recording of something that is natural in the mind that thoughts flow\, arise\, die\, change all the time. Fantasies and answers\, demands\, narcissism\, beauty\, love\, hate\, hunger\, craving\, abstraction. With the concrete. The unreasonable appreciation and acceptance of new beauty. While there is the blasphemy of the soul\, both the good and the bad. The final essence from the journey to find the state of the mind. \nLINECENSOR’s works are very rich in pictures\, so you can’t read them at first sight. On the contrary\, you will want to fully appreciate each individual in the painting\, and every corner of each detail has surprises. In Thailand’s traditional culture and Buddhism\, painters have put new forms in their works\, making these two elements sound more solemn and serious than the author. There are little girls with doubts in the picture\, including skeletons\, Thai gods\, war horses\, and even traditional Japanese geisha\, who are as complex as their inner thoughts.

SUMMARY:Monster Mayhem: One Step Beyond
DESCRIPTION:The cute and funny monster is visiting 13A New Street Art Gallery this summer\, a series of monster characters created by artist Distort Monsters. This time\, he brought the Hong Kong audience the second wave of “One Step Beyond” in the Monster Mayhem series. The monsters each have lively expressions and unique appearance\, which makes people unexpectedly look forward to the true face of these funny creatures. In this collection of works\, artists take aliens\, robots\, deep-sea creatures\, etc. as the blueprint of creation\, and their own stories give each monster a unique soul. Distort monsters once said that every monster he created was an idea in his mind and even his own feelings. In this way\, the whole series\, each creation is a small fragment of his life. Through his paintings\, he captures those plots that can touch him in an instant\, and seals the heat of life in his works\, so that a moment of fireworks in life will not be fleeting. \nDistort Monsters\, an emotional artist from the Philippines\, began his street art career in 2009. He started his art career by painting skateboard stickers\, and he was having issues with his mental health for a long time\, and what accompanied him was artistic creation. He liberated himself by creating these monster characters\, found his inner peace\, and was cured from art. Recently\, the monsters he created obviously have more different forms than before\, with bright and powerful color contrast\, and the overall picture is happy\, lively and energetic. This change is the positive impact of the good medicine of artistic creation. People can influence life with life\, and art can nourish the soul. We often hear people say “it’s OK to be not OK”\, which is calling on us to accept our weakness. Accepting it does not make us more helpless. On the contrary\, it is a process of treating ourselves and embracing the weakest self. Find the most comfortable way to get along with your innermost self\, bravely open your deepest place\, and learn how to treat yourself to create a stronger self. \nDistort Monsters shows the playful feeling of a big boy with powerful lines and street graffiti style. Coupled with strong color contrast\, it is very attractive to the audience. It is worth noting that some of the paintings are composed of three-dimensional dots and lines\, highlighting the outline of the monster. This time\, in addition to the exhibition of physical paintings\, distort monsters introduced his monster mayhem into the metaverse. He hopes that through this NFT project\, art and technology will become borderless\, and NFT can be used as the backbone of physical and digital works. Each work will be equipped with an NFT\, which breaks through the boundary of 2D NFT and turns the artwork of the metaverse into 3D.

SUMMARY:CandyMary: Sugar Addiction
DESCRIPTION:When it comes to sweets\, many people have no resistance to them. The craving is as important as breathing. At the moment of eating\, the tiny bits of happiness that we can feel all over our body is indeed remarkable. The sweet atmosphere wraps the taste buds\, which cannot only satisfy our momentary appetite\, but also bring an infinite sense of satisfaction. Urban people live a hard life of camp and service every day in a high-pressure environment. Having sweets is definitely a small blessing for them and a good medicine to comfort their tired hearts. Although the sense of “simple pleasure” is insignificant\, its occurrence and existence can permeate different degrees of sweetness into life. Simple pleasure has the same effect when visiting or when we eat sweets. \nCandyMary\, a talented artist from Taiwan\, once had a “sweet addiction” due to her love of candies. She was very attracted by the colorful wrapping paper and various flavors of sugar-coated candies\, she has become a sugar addict under the constant unconscious intake. In this era of information explosion\, the beauty function of social media\, popular online restaurants\, entertainment news\, etc. She felt that such information was like an ice cream bucket in the freezer got hollowed out\, but it was never refilled. At last\, she left an open question worth our self reflection. \n“When the happiness of sweets recedes\, what else can we enjoy?” \nCandyMary’s work style seems childlike and girly. But when you look closely\, you will find that the details of women’s skin are quite delicate and real. The microfilaments and blood vessels under the skin are also vividly drawn through CandyMary’s brush. The crystal clear\, white and ruddy faces make the faces look more desirous and detailed. It is really valuable for a young artist to have such a meticulous craftsmanship.

SUMMARY:2CHOEY: SAME THING AGAIN AND AGAIN
DESCRIPTION:The same thing happens again and again\, and the space-time we are in is like a vortex of infinite circulation. Things happen\, from a sudden breeze blowing away the fallen leaves\, to the fact that great battles between countries are constantly taking place in our lives. Although we have no way to know where things are going\, we can choose to face anything with a relaxed and happy attitude. This time\, 2CHOEY not only put his signature palm face and hand raising movement into the work\, but also added some new elements to bring freshness to the audience. He put some familiar materials into the new series of works\, such as Campbell soup\, the Mona Lisa and some lovely cartoon characters\, so as to add a sense of familiarity to the works\, that the public can easily find that resonance in the works. \n2CHOEY\, a talented artist from Thailand\, always have deep feelings on the current social changes\, and his works are warmly pursued by fans all over the world. He is now holding his second solo exhibition “Same Thing Again and Again” in Hong Kong. He created a series of works that subvert traditional art\, explore deep-seated social phenomena\, and enable the public to reinterpret and think about popular culture under the communication beyond language. \nCampbell’s soup\, an evergreen food brand that existed in the 19th century\, has been established for more than 150 years. The public are not new to this red and white iconic packaging. In the 1960s\, Andy Warhol\, a master of pop art\, also used Campbell soup as his creative material\, and his works also received great repercussions. \nThis time 2CHOEY paid tribute to Andy Warhol\, the master of printmaking\, in his own works. In addition to the element of Campbell soup\, 2CHOEY is also very close to the pulse of the world\, and the big and small things that are happening are also connected to his works. Including the recent news of wars and pandemic we experienced\, 2CHOEY also sarcastically called on everyone to ‘cook soup\, not war’ and ‘stock-up more art cans before the next pandemic’‘. In 2CHOEY’s new series of paintings\, some works reflect the mood when buying art\, such as’ Buy art to show off ‘. Some works reflect the artist’s heart\, that is\, someone suddenly says\, ‘Love your work\, could you draw me for free?’

SUMMARY:Arol Art Show: Scrambled and Stigmatized
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Arol Art Show! “Scrambled and Stigmatized” is a walk through the artist’s most intimate corners\, an emotional roller coaster that reminds us that we are alive\, that we are wonderful sentient beings. \nA journey that in each station in front of these characters\, they could function perfectly as mirrors if when observing them we enjoy it from an innocent gaze that does not judge and only feels without further ado\, walking through the deepest labyrinths of our Being. \nContemporary artist from Spain – Ariel Alberto Ferrante\, known by the art world as “Arol”. His work is surreal\, unconstrained by any reality. In the past year\, under the raging epidemic\, even Arol could not bring his works to international exhibitions personally\, but his works have traveled to the United States\, Switzerland\, Taiwan and other places. Arol’s works were even shortlisted at Taipei New Art Fair – NFT World Masters \,and China\, there is no doubt about his artistic attainments. \nThis is the third time Arol has cooperated with 13A NEW STREET ART GALLERY to hold an exhibition. At last year’s Affordable Art Fair\, many art collectors admired Arol’s works and couldn’t help but praise his delicate brushwork and delicate details. The style of the work has a strong classical and elegant atmosphere\, and the bright contrast of colors greatly enhances the gorgeousness of the work. A feeling conveyed by the whole picture is the gentle and solid European oil painting aesthetics\, which is indeed very fascinating. Now that the epidemic has eased\, let us also release the urge to play that has been suppressed for a long time in our hearts\, and come to a unique carnival\, so that the excitement and playfulness will fill this early summer. \nBehind the noisy atmosphere\, Arol did not specifically define his work\, but rather hoped that the audience could understand the hidden meaning of the work from their own perspective. Because Arol believes that everyone interprets his works differently\, just like one of the protagonists in his works this time\, some people will think it is a pink balloon\, some people will think it is a lollipop\, but the truth is There is no one-size-fits-all answer. Arol’s expectation is to make the visitors as involved in the exhibition as possible\, and to connect with the works with their own unique stories. \nHIGHLIGHT:\nWe developed AR for the first time in this exhibition\, and this AR character “SixSixSix” will also appear in front of everyone as a virtual artwork NFT. The character combines many pleasing elements. It is like a pink balloon and a sweet lollipop. If you pay attention to it\, you may find a little familiar feeling. It is exactly the toy of our babyhood\, and it has been sealed in the heart. The long childhood innocence came out again. \nThis time\, we have prepared a total of six NFTs and one limited edition “Six Six Six” Art Prints that are combined with the notio premium art paper brand. Each style is also paired with a pink or white background\, and the cute palette of girly styles makes people unconsciously embedded in this sweet illusion. The background of the NFT is like a kaleidoscope of moving images\, which makes the picture look more lively. \nThe art industry also has to catch up with the rapid operation of the times and embark on the road of technology. We also have IG Filter debut on Instagram for the first time. Adhering to the 13A NEW STREET ART GALLERY concept of nurturing a new generation\, we invited a group of up-and-coming masters who are currently studying in the Department of Design of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University to create a Filter\, which is based on the theme of this exhibition\, the carnival. The presentation of the characters will be cast on the face of the subject like a mask\, and it will feel like being invited by Arol to his party. If you like cute and mysterious feelings\, then this Filter must not be missed. \nArol IG Filter Link:\nhttps://www.instagram.com/ar/1394031057774946/

DESCRIPTION:In the past few months\, we have also been severely tested by the pandemic\, under the warmth of the spring sun\, we finally see the light of hope. We are excited to announce that 13a New Street Art Gallery is back\, in collaboration with @AlpacaLand_NFT and a group of artists prepared a new surprise for all art lovers. What we are talking about is that 13a New Street Art Gallery has brought NFT to the exhibition for the very first time\, as Alpaca Land ‘s original platform is presented in NFT as a medium. We hope to connect the physical and virtual worlds\, so that collectors can freely roam in the real and virtual worlds to enjoy art without restriction. \nOriginating from cute and furry creatures in South America\, alpacas quickly ruled the internet world. Combined with the Chinese pronunciation of the word “grass-mud-horse (草泥馬)” with a bit of playfulness\, animals have become a form of humor on the internet. In the online world of “Alpaca Land”\, no one knows who you are and is free to be true to yourself\, whether you are optimistic or pessimistic\, human or alpaca. Alpaca Land believes that human or alpaca identities can expose the “cute but unrealistic” culture and the “grumpy but natural” darkness via the Internet through the connection of diversity and global cultures. \nIn the new era of transformation\, the art world has also kept pace with the times\, integrating new technologies with art\, using blockchain technology and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to show the public that technology empowers the value of art. We display artwork in a 1+1 format – each artwork can be enjoyed in physical or virtual form. \nIn this exhibition\, we focus on the main character of Alpaca Land. And one of the Alpaca Land ‘s creators and famous actress\, Joey Thye\, will join with nine other actor and artists to participate in this exhibition\, including: Alfred Cheng\, who plays with geometrical thread-art; well-known art toy designer Happiest Fung; popular TV drama actor Karl Ting; Knoa Chung\, who is full of childishness and healing style; Leon Lollipop\, who is good at drawing animals with soul; Miloza Ma\, keen on romantic and spiritual drawing style; Mr Likey\, who is good reinterpret childhood memories into contemporary approach; and surrealism photographer Tommy Fung whose instagram account “SurrealHK” with 167k followers.

SUMMARY:Shinichiro ”AJ” Kato: Light and Hope
DESCRIPTION:The contemporary art-toy artist from Japan\, Shinichiro “AJ” Kato (Art Junkie/ Shinichiro Kato)\, made his first painting oriented exhibition debut at 13a New Street Art Gallery. In the past few years\, his works have been loved by people\, and many exhibitions have been held in Japan and abroad. In 2019\, it will even break out of Asia and focus on the United States. In August 2019\, Mr. Shinichiro Kato\, RAMPAGE TOYS\, DEVILROBOTS\, and ukyDaydreamer held a group exhibition at the “Clutter Gallery” in New York. In September of the same year\, he held a solo exhibition at LA “Q POP GALLERY”. \nEven though he was affected by the epidemic in the past two years\, his exhibition schedule has not been interrupted. It is like a powerful whirlwind on display all over Japan. In March 2021\, a solo exhibition was held at the Ginza Gallery “Shin”. On the first day\, there was a long line of enthusiastic fans in front of the first bus to celebrate\, and it ended with great success. Riding this powerful “AJ” whirlwind to Hong Kong\, this time will set off another bigger wave at 13a New Street Art Gallery. \nIn recent years\, there have been more and more paintings in Art Junkie’s works\, and gradually tends to the direction of artistic development. The current trend is that toys and art are inseparable. We noticed that “AJ”‘s paintings have his personal characteristics and playfulness\, which are very suitable for young art collectors. 13A New Street Art Gallery hopes to promote Art Junkie into the field of art through exhibition opportunities\, let more people know about his painting skills\, and the collection value of his hand-painted art toys will also be greatly increased. Art Junkie is endowed with potential and outstanding artistic sense. It is worthy of being seen by more people. It should be discovered to go further on the road of art and attract more art collectors to collect his works. \nArt Junkie himself created several cartoon characters\, some of which have three eyes or three heads. This is a special setting of AJ’s character appearance. For example\, Calm Cat is a kitten with three big eyes with different dreamy colors. Kumara is a cute bear who also has three eyes. Although it has a pretentious appearance\, its round appearance and close to one-to-one body ratio. The strong contrast between the appearance and the expression makes him look more contrasting\, and makes people fall into his funny charm accidentally. King Pacara is an unusual alpaca\, the alpaca character he created not only has three heads\, but also has wings. It looks like a magical beast\, like the flying unicorn that we loved very much when we were young. Because of the creation of a range of beloved characters\, every time it will be sold out immediately when it goes on sale. His personal creative characteristics can be said to be a deep foundation in his artistic paintings. \nThis exhibition is the first time Art Junkie uses paintings as the main theme of the exhibition. Of course\, he can’t reserve the toy design he is keen on. This time AJ will hand-paint one-off soft vinyl toys\, and each toy is limited to one in the world\, which has a very high collection value. Not only are his art toys unique in limited quantities in the world\, but it is also worth noting that AJ uses skateboard deck as his creative medium for the first time\, all of which are sold in limited quantities.

SUMMARY:The 13a Collectors Lounge feat. BE@RBRICK
DESCRIPTION:13a New Street Art Gallery has only been established for one year and has attracted attention from all walks of life. We held exhibitions with different artists from all over the world\, and met many like-minded friends during the period. We hope to hold Collectors Lounge once a year to share art with everyone. This time we organized The 13a Collectors Lounge Feat. BE@RBRICK exhibition with a group of collectors and friends\, with BE@RBRICK as the theme of this time. \nIn recent years\, many fashionistas turned to a BE@RBRICK collector. As they often launch artist-collaboration products with different international brands\, it has become the focus of the market every time they release. In addition\, many celebrities and socialites are also Be@rbrick collectors. By seeing lots of sharing on social media\, which greatly increases the reputation of BE@RBRICK in the art & fashion industry. \n13a New Street Art Gallery aims to integrate trends and art together\, so we find some series of BE@RBRICK artist collections to participate in the exhibition. We will exhibit well-known Contemporary Artists including ANDY WARHOL\, JEAN-MICHEAL BASQUIAT\, KAWS\, BANSKY\, VINCENT VAN GOGH’s combined BE@RBRICK this time. With the essences of well-known artist elements\, Be@rbrick is on the trendy play. This combination is absolutely amazing and has great collection value. \nThe focus of this time is that the “ONE OF A KIND” BE@RBRICK series jointly created by French artist Anne-Valérie Dupond x Medicom Toy will be displayed at 13a New Street Art Gallery. Their preciousness is that each style in the world is limited to one piece only! Sewn by the artist himself\, and stitched together with multiple materials. There are three series\, all of which are 18 pieces of BE@RBRICK\, three of them will be exhibited at 13a New Street Art Gallery. Anne-Valérie Dupond is a fabric artist\, each be@rbrick is infused with the creative elements of the artist. The works are characterized by irregular and thick lines\, with a playful style and full of fun. \nIn addition\, a number of collaboration works by famous artists were exhibited\, including Vincent Van Gogh\, Kuniyoshi Utagawa\, Yusuke Hanai\, etc. Van Gogh\, a Dutch post-impressionist painter\, was a pioneer of expressionism and deeply influenced the art of the 20th century\, especially Fauvism and German Expressionism. Van Gogh’s works such as “Starry Night” and “Sunflower” are familiar.Utagawa Kuniyoshi was one of the last great masters of the Japanese ukiyo-e style of woodblock prints and painting. He was a member of the Utagawa school. \nThe range of Kuniyoshi’s subjects included many genres: landscapes\, beautiful women\, Kabuki actors\, cats\, and mythical animals. He is known for depictions of the battles of legendary samurai heroes. His artwork incorporated aspects of Western representation in landscape painting and caricature. Yusuke Hanai is deeply influenced by American street culture. Many different popular elements such as Beatles\, hippies\, etc. can be found in his works\, and merged with the Japanese’s attention-to-detail personality to become a unique style. The value of his art toys has now been speculated for more than $10\,000. A small Hanai Yusuke’s work was estimated at Sotheby’s at $8000 to $15\,000\, and finally sold for $75\,000. \nIn addition to the theme of BE@RBRICK\, there are also many other art collections of valuable works on display at 13a New Street Art Gallery.
