SUMMARY:Bassoon Masterclass by Sophie Dervaux
DESCRIPTION:Sophie Dervaux is the principal bassoonist of the Vienna Philharmonic and the Vienna State Opera Orchestra. She enjoys a flourishing international career as a bassoon soloist and recording artist. She studied at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin. She teaches bassoon at The Music and Arts University of The City of Vienna. \nSophie Dervaux has won top prizes at the ARD International Music Competition Munich in 2013 and the Beethoven Ring Bonn in 2014. Her 2021 debut album Impressions earned the German Record Critics’ Award. Since 2020\, she has been on faculty at Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna and giving masterclasses at leading conservatoires worldwide. \nMasterclass format: \n2:15pm Arrival & Registration\n2:30pm – 4:45pm Coaching of five selected solo performers for approximately 25 minutes each\n4:45pm – 5:00pm Q & A Session / Certificate Presentation / Photo Taking \nObserver Tickets: $100 per person.
