18 May - 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm
EVENT DESCRIPTION
It’s inevitable to “grab” a drink in summer, what if you don’t to have an extra plastic bag for that? This workshop offers the perfect solution with its takeaway denim fabric patterns cup holder tutorial by using hand sewing techniques. Participants will receive a box of 50 embroidery threads and small tools at the workshop, which allow them to continue embellishing the work at home and apply it for daily use.
Part of the workshop includes sharing of material knowledge, aiming to reduce the chances of buying low-quality garments that contribute to waste. Additionally, the tutor will introduce various categories of upcycling old garments, encouraging more considerations when buying garments or handling old items.
* Age Requirement: Participants must be 15 years old or above
(If you are under 15 but have experience with sewing and are interested in the activity, please contact us for further inquiries.)
* Participants can choose a denim fabric with unique patterns on the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis. The denim fabric is the leftover fabric from a textile factory which is brand new and has been processed to be the unique fabric by the instructor.
