EVENT DESCRIPTION
Hong Kong Ballet has collaborated with College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at City University of Hong Kong to create a mesmerising art installation, Eternal Relevé. Inspired by Michelangelo Pistoletto’s Third Paradise, this meaningful work incorporates ballet pointe shoes imbued with craftsmanship, movement and thrilling performances. By giving them new life, we explore a third path for them beyond their original purpose in the realm of enduring art.
Located at Hong Kong Cultural Centre’s foyer, Eternal Relevé is part of FASHION TO RECONNECT: A Tale of Two Style Capitals and blends ballet’s elegance with a powerful sustainability message through upcycling practices. The innovative installation celebrates the beauty of artistic expression and highlights the importance of environmental awareness. Every element represents the harmony between nature and artistry, encouraging viewers to contemplate their own connection to the environment.
